The mixed Bhajis were a disappointment. One arrived almost instantaneously, I commented to CL that it was probably an over order from another table. It was cold. It had probably been sitting in the kitchen awaiting some mug to order them. Unfortunately I was that mug. The other arrived 5 minutes later and was nothing to get excited about.

The chicken madras was poor. It was bright red in appearance, contained striated pieces of chicken and lacked the madras hotness and any special spicing.

CL enjoyed his fish curry.

The restaurant seemed more interested in signing you up for their loyalty card rather than serving you a good quality curry. At a cost of 80 per person per year this is not how to build loyalty. Punters will be more inclined to return to a restaurant if they feel they have been served a decent quality curry at a reasonable price. Sadly the Balti King are some way from this objective.
